Making a Spay Day Appointment

On Sunday, March 3, 2013, 700 hundred pets belonging to income-qualified families in Sacramento and Yolo Counties received low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and more as part of Spay Day Sacramento.
Who is eligible for Spay Day?
Residents of Sacramento and Yolo Counties who receive public assistance and/or have a household income of $35,000 a year or less. Proof of public assistance or income is required to receive a Spay Day appointment.
How do I request an appointment?
Pet owners can fill out an online application to request an appointment. Applicants are required to submit proof of income. Filling out the application does not guarantee you will receive an appointment. We will begin accepting applications for Spay Day 2014 in January 2014.
How much does Spay Day cost?
$15 per cat and $20 per dog. Limit two pets per household.
What does each animal receive on Spay Day?
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Core vaccinations
- Microchip identification and registration
- Dose of flea preventative
Where does Spay Day take place?
At various veterinary clinics and animal shelters in Sacramento and Yolo Counties.
