Making a Spay Day Appointment
Who is eligible for Spay Day?
Residents of Sacramento and Yolo Counties who receive public assistance and/or have a household income of $35,000 a year or less are eligible. Proof of public assistance or income is required to receive a Spay Day appointment.
How do I request an appointment?
We are no longer accepting applications for Spay Day Sacramento 2016. If you want to spay or neuter your pet, please view this list of other low-cost spay/neuter programs in the Sacramento area.
How much does Spay Day cost?
$15 per cat and $20 per dog. Limit two pets per household.
What does each animal receive on Spay Day?
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Core vaccinations
- Microchip identification and registration
Where does Spay Day take place?
At various veterinary clinics and animal shelters in Sacramento and Yolo Counties.

Our volunteers began calling Spay Day applicants on Monday, February 1. The calls may come from blocked numbers and volunteers cannot leave messages. To increase your chances of getting an appointment, please respond to incoming calls from blocked numbers. Applying for Spay Day does not guarantee that you will receive an appointment.
