Sponsoring Spay Day
SAAC has recruited an amazing array of national and local organizations to support this huge effort this year, but we sure don't want to overlook any organizations who wish to get involved with Spay Day as sponsors.

Sponsors chip in $1 per surgery ($1,000) and for that get their logo listed on the SAAC web site and the Spay Day t-shirt backs. Sponsors are also included in
all press releases and the event flier.

Organizations who sponsor Spay Day are encouraged to let their volunteers/supporters know about volunteer opportunities, advertise/publicize the event to potential clients and otherwise report on their involvement with the event.

So far, the following organizations have committed as sponsors for Spay Day 2006: the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), A New Hope Animal Foundation, the Animal Protection Institute (API), the Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights (AVAR), the City of Sacramento, the County of Sacramento, the PETCO Foundation, Petfinder.com, the Sacramento SPCA and Teaching Everyone Animals Matter (TEAM) United Animal Nations. Locally, the Placer and Yolo SPCAs are considering sponsorships again this year and nationally, the Humane Society of the US and
the Doris Day Animal Foundation also have been approached.

The great news is if the funds we raise for Spay Day EXCEED our costs, all money will go directly into SAAC's spay/neuter voucher program. SAAC operates with NO paid staff and we spend 99% of our donations on s/n surgeries.

We didn't want to leave anyone out of the opportunity to be involved with this, our community's largest annual spay/neuter event. If you are affiliated with a rescue group or even a business that would like to help us make the 2006 Spay Day in Sacramento the best one yet, please consider sponsoring Spay Day. If $1,000 is more than you can bear, we will also consider sponsorships at $500. Please contact us to inquire.

NOTE: There is a deadline of January 20 for getting on the fliers and February 1 for the t-shirts.

Also, if you or anyone you know has contacts with any food
distributors/retailers (e.g., donuts, pizza, sodas, etc.), we would love for you to let us know. We're still working on our plan for feeding the 400+ volunteers on Spay Day, so any assistance would be very much appreciated!
