The
Sacramento Area Animal Coalition (SAAC) needs you!
And
the animals need you!
As
you may know, Sacramento is one of the only local counties
without any significant spay-neuter assistance programs
for low-income families or those caring for rescued
or feral animals.
SAAC
wants to change that!
SAAC's
inaugural "Sponsor a Spay Today" campaign
will run for eight weeks and throughout that time, volunteers
dedicated to eliminating pet overpopulation in Sacramento
will fan out to the community to seek life-saving donations
in $20 increments. Our goal is to raise $50,000
to implement a local spay-neuter voucher program funding
1,000 surgeries during the next year!
SAAC
has designed beautiful "Sponsor a Spay Today"
brochures [sample]
that describe all the reasons that spay-neuter is THE
answer to solving our community's pet overpopulation
problem. ***Rescue group volunteers who participate
in the fund-raising effort will create eligibililty
for their organization for spay-neuter vouchers once
the program begins.***
The
campaign will run from August 23, 2003 through October
18, 2003. Volunteers raising the most for spay-neuter
during this eight-week campaign will be eligible for
amazing prizes that have been donated by supportive
local entrepreneurs and businesses. Examples of these
