Feral Cat Program
The SAAC Feral Cat Assistance Program helps colony caregivers obtain affordable spay/neuter surgeries for feral cats. Eligible applicants receive coupons for spay/neuter surgeries, which can be redeemed at participating veterinary clinics for a small co-payment.
EXCITING NEWS REGARDING THE FERAL COUPON PROGRAM
Thanks to a grant from Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation, the copayment for colonies located in areas covered by the Sacramento County Shelter is now waived. That includes unincorporated areas of Sacramento County and the cities of Citrus Heights, Isleton and Galt. Colonies in all other areas within Sacramento and Yolo Counties must still pay the $10 copayment directly to the veterinarian. When your coupon is approved, you will be notified if the copayment is waived. If you are unsure about whether the copayment is waived in your area, please email us.
VET CLINICS NEEDED!
Demand for feral cat spay/neuter surgeries is growing. SAAC is recruiting more veterinary clinics to participate in the program. If your vet clinic wants to help reduce the population of community cats in the Sacramento area, please email us.
